The Permissions contain information about which objects (table data) each role can access within the database and the Roles equals Role Centers (User Profiles) in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Role Tailored Client.

The Permissions for Sample Roles covers:
- The core version (WW1) of Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009
- Selected Role Centers
- Selected tasks in the Role Center
And therefore the following issues must be taken into consideration when planning the setup of the security system:
- The Permissions for Sample Roles are not a final setup of security system, and additional work is needed to meet the customer’s requirements
- The user will experience permissions errors if only the Permissions for Sample Roles are used to the setup of the security system.
- That no legal or other agreements concerning the set up of the Microsoft Dynamics NAV Security System must be based on the Permissions for Sample Roles, such agreements must only be based on actual findings.
