Sir,
I try to read(check) the uncommitted data through a custom function called "ChkDimValue" & I called this function under the table OnInsert() trigger.
It works when I called this way:
But it does not work when I remove "IF INSERT THEN"... Line.
What is the reason ? Please inform.

Suppose there is a Table called TAB1 & this table is receiving data from different sources.
I want to check the incoming data which are going to insert into this table.
To check the incoming data I have created a custom function (ChkDimValue) & called the function under the OnInsert() trigger of TAB1 table.
The function should not allow the data to insert into the TAB1 if the data is not valid.
My requirement works when I use the below code :
But without the first line (IF INSERT THEN) it does not work.
What's the reason ?
