    There is an issue if you have installed all components on your device and this will solve it. This should be solved in CU1
    Now - I still got an issue afterwards... I don't get the connection error anymore but for some reason the tablet client asks for authentication even tough my service is set to windows authentication (which works with all other clients). When I enter credentials the tablet client goes crazy flashing and I have to kill the task and delete the password information from windows.

    Anyone who can try to get past that point?

    Hello,

    if someone needs a free and valid certificates for Dynamics NAV 2015 Web and Tablet Client you may consider startssl.com. They offer step by-step guide for IIS 7, which is used by the Web- and Tablet-Client. This is very easy on the Windows platform with the IIS Manager. You need only have access to the E-Mail address such as hostmaster@<domain> to validate your domain.

    A brief update regarding connectivity:

    Based on your feedback, we have greatly simplified the setup and configuration experience for one-box demo/trial deployments.
    If you are installing both the Microsoft Dynamics NAV server components as well as the app onto a single computer, then the app can connect using service name "http://localhost:8080/DynamicsNAV80". In this scenario, you are not forced to deploy certificates for SSL nor do you need to run CheckNetIsolation.exe. It just works.

    This is available with Dynamics NAV 2015 Cumulative Update 2 onwards and Dynamics NAV for modern Windows version 1.1 onwards.

    I have followed the procedure described here http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/201 ... icate.aspx and generated self-signed certificate, export it and install on iPad. Also the binding with IIS is done.

    I'm trying to connect using the iPad app but still the message I get is "could not connect to server".

    The format I'm using is https://x.x.x.x/DynamicsNav80 where x.x.x.x is the IP of the server.

    However, I'm able to access on Ipad using Safari both WebClient and tablet.aspx pages.

    I have tried both with credential types: UserName and NavUserPassword.

    Any suggestion?

    Dear Mike,

    I already installed NAV 2015 Cumulative Update 2 in VM and DynamicsNAV app in host with OS Windows 8.1.
    Web client and tablet via browser have run successfully.
    But, when I try to connect in Dynamics NAV app in my Windows 8.1, there is error "Could not connect to server."
    When I use "http://<ip vm>:8080/DynamicsNav80/WebClient", it said that I must use https instead.
    When I use "https://<ip vm>:9090/DynamicsNAV80/WebClient", it said that could not connect to server.
    I already import self-signed certificate in my Windows 8.1 and run "CheckNetIsolation.exe LoopbackExempt -a -n=microsoft.dynamicsnav_8wekyb3d8bbwe" in my host, but the result is the same.
    What do you mean with "modern Windows version 1.1 "? Whether Windows 8.1 app is a modern windows version 1.1?

    Dear all,

    Finally I can run NAV 2015 app on my Windows 8.1.
    My fault is I created self-signed certificate with makecert.
    The solution is follow the steps in http://blogs.msdn.com/b/nav/archive/2014/10/09/how-to-get-microsoft-dynamics-nav-for-tablets-to-connect-using-a-self-signed-certificate.aspx exactly.

    One box installation + 1 IPad

    Windows client - works

    Web client on computer - works

    NAV app on Win 8.1 - works

    Safari on IPad - works

    IPad Safari with tablet.aspx works for me! Just not the IPad APP from AppStore.

    NAV app on IPad - does not work "Could not connect to.." error. I've been through all videoes, blogs etc. that I can find, but cannot make it work. No error message (reason), no nothing.

    Somebody please explain me what I'm doing wrong. Have used SSCerts generated using PowerShell from the DVD and this article.

    Hi Henrik Ohm

    Did you simple copy Cumulative Update files to your installation or did you reinstall NAV server?
    If you just copied the files, you are missing a important line in your /<NAVInstance>/WebClient/web.config.
