We are in the process of putting an e-commerce solution together for our website. We are using Sitecore to manage the content and was recommended by our web partners to use Active Commerce for the solution. My question is how are others getting info from NAV to the website and vise versa, and what is required to do so. To start we would like people to order parts and accessories from our website. We would need the ability for the website to display current inventory from NAV, etc. How are others handling orders from their e-commerce solution into NAV? Any info would be appreciated. We are on NAV2009 SP1 Classic with SQL 2008.

Thanks

E-Commerce integration is no small task. I have been involved in numerous e-commerce integrations over the years and found that the best approach generally is to use an add-on/bolt-on product. I was part of the Nav-to-Net team at one point and have used this solution over the years, check out http://www.dvp.net/ for more details. I know that there are a number of competitive offerings as well so you may want to product compare.

Tim, great info thanks. DVP is fairly close to us as we are in Mississauga. This looks like it might be a good fit. I will be reasearching it more. I haven't come across similar solutions as of yet.
