Copenhagen, April 1st 2008.

I think this is the right day to tell the world how much I love Partnersource and the fantastic support for Dynamics NAV.

It's not like in the old Navision days when you would only get specific help for the topic you were actually looking for, oh no, with MS Partnersource you will always get about 500 other articles about AX, GP or other NAV country versions even when you set the right filters (so that we can learn about other products \:D/ ) or you get nothing at all (which makes it ok for you to take the rest of the day off I guess :D ).

But of course there are always exceptions, like days when you just can't find what you are looking for.

I have downloaded the 5.0 SP1 WW and installed the client, server and new database. The database includes the new Dynamics Mobile objects, but there is no Mobile server or Mobile components on the CD as far as I can tell.

In the "Changes in NAV 50 SP1" document it says:

"Note that to have full advantage of the functionality you also have to acquire Microsoft Dynamics Mobile 2008"

Has anyone managed to find the Dynamics Mobile 2008 install package on partnersource or anywhere else ?

I think Dynamics Mobile wasn’t released yet. In Partnersource there is a VPC image with NAV 5.0 SP1 and Mobile 2008 ready to run.

I don't understand your reply: You tell me that it is not released and on the other hand that there is an image which includes the Mobile 2008 application ?

The SP1 came in a zipped file without Mobile 2008 runtime files. Where did you find the image (please provide a link) ?

    Hi all

I downloaded the "Mobile Sales VPC - Image" and the "Mobile Sales - How To Run the VPC Image on NAV.pdf". On page 11 of 15 it says...
To get the mobile device ready, you must install the Mobile Sales application. This is done by following the instructions in the enclosed document called ‘InstallingTheMobileSalesDemo.doc’.

Does anybody know where this document is?

    thanks!

ok, another question: Was anybody successful in running the MobileSales.CAB and RolePad.CAB on a device?

I just tried to install them on the Windows Mobile 6 Emulator and it says that RolePad does not support this device...

I was able to get it running and actually modify some functionality. Great product, but one couple things are missing... Like ability to create customers.
