    Hi all,

I'm not sure how to use OMA with our way of working.

    We have 3 different database:
    DEV
    TEST
    Pre-prod

In TEST, we test in the OMA language, project.
    In pre-prod we test transport.

From test to pre-prod it's clear how to pass the modification.
But from DEV to TEST I didn't see how to pass only a project. Is it possible ? do you do it "oldschool" mode ?

On the DEV database, we will have our project with status test, but what will happen in the test database?
I ready the manual but didn't found something about this.

    Thanks for your help!

I believe the option numbers are changed in the newer version of the automation.
Can you please change the option numbers to 2 and 3?

    Hi Reijer,

Is the Translation Tool in OMA capable of handling translation of caption on pages. I'm thinking of the Page Actions and Control Action etc. As far as I can see it is not supported?!

    TIA

    Hi Zeon,

Yes, you can translate pages with the OMA.
I now see that the “type” field is not filled but that is not needed to translate the actions.
We will fix that in the next release.

    Hi Reijer,

thanks again for your work and the amazing MenuSuite Viewer. Would it be possible in the next release to have a column for the Deleted and the Visible property? I've seen, Visible is already available but only in Zoom.

Is there a cleanup option in OMA? Now I have to manually delete records and then delete the objects.

You can use the "Action Worksheet" to delete the data.

  • einsTeIn.NETeinsTeIn.NET Member Posts: 1,050
As far as I understand you should delete only the data by Action Worksheet. After that you could delete all the Objects by Object Designer.

    Hello,

Our company has been using OMA for some months now and I was in process of upgrading the OMA from 7.02 to 8.03 in our 2009R2 devel databases. When importing the fob there is notify window saying:
    omanotify.png

Is this because of our Nav build is older than the build OMAteam has used exporting these objects? Is it a prequisite to have the latest build of Nav?
  • reijermolenaarreijermolenaar Member Posts: 256
    Hi,

Just press that you want to continue.

99% of the times everything will work.
There are some conflicts between the NAV builds but mainly with inbetween hotfixes.

If the objects does not work (NAV will crash) on your client you can always import the objects in text format that are included in the full OMA version.

ok, but then I need to manually open a table, delete all records, etc. and repeat this for every table?
  • einsTeIn.NETeinsTeIn.NET Member Posts: 1,050
No, all records will be deleted by Action Worksheet. Only the Objects themselves have to be deleted manually. That's very easy and I think that's a reasonable effort.
