Export from NAV 2009 R2 to Excel 2000

ElenaPanzeriElenaPanzeri Member Posts: 4
I tried to export NAV forms to Excel but all the information is insert in only one box.

Version NAV: 2009 R2
Version Excel: 2000

Is there a sort of incompatibility between the two versions?

Thank you,
Elena

    Excel 2000?
Why are you on such an old version?
When you paste are you just pasting or " pasting special"
It's going to hard to answer about its comparability because I doubt their are Alot of users who have purchased nav2009 and still use excel2000.

Can we assume this is some kind of table form like the item list?

I'm using the NAV standard functions to export to Excel (style sheet).
We have tried to export table form, for example vendor list or customer list.
But all the information is insert in only one box...

when you select the table & Ctrl-C & then go to excel & Ctrl-V - does it paste correctly?

if it does then it sounds like the Send to Excel in Nav2009 isn't compatable with excel 2000.

Are you not enjoying the benefits of Outlook and syncing? Or are you using Outlook 2000 also?

Yes, with Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V it works fine.

Mmh, I think they are using also Outlook 2000 ...

Well it doesn't make much sence being on the newest Version of Nav and an ancient version of office.
Explain to whomever that the company can't be as productive as it should on office 2000 an an upgrade would be well worth the cost.

You can always download a free trial version of excel and if it exports correctly then you are 100% sure of how to fix your problem.
