An achievement for Malaysians! Designel Media Sdn Bhd has been featured in Web Designer Magazine (UK) Issue 156 in the magazine's "Industry Portfolio" segment (page 101).
The article focuses on Designel Media's Chief Operating Officer Ahmad Zahirudin: Ahmad Zahirudin graduated an English teacher from the University of Malaya Kuala Lumpur, but had been designing websites part-time since 2001. While writing storyboards for e-learning purposes, he read books on Flash and Photoshop to understand what was possible. He found that the possibilities were endless, and formed Designel Media in May 2006 as his official personal playground for designing stuffs. Commenting on his approach to design, Zahir says, ¡°Believe it or not, my teacher brain plays a huge part when I start designing. I use John Keller¡¯s ARCS model quite often ¨C Attention, Relevance, Confidence and Satisfaction. Almost always, I approach a project as a teacher who wants to educate my viewers on a subject matter. Creativity is the least important to me, because I put forth existing ideas and concepts to ensure the offering is relevant to my audience. Ironically, the result is almost always a creative one.¡± Recently, he has launched www.mcv.me and www.xbanners.my ¨C both websites being straightforward but visually appealing. He is currently working on an e-commerce site, which will promote ease of transactions between buyers and sellers. As a continuous effort, he is also helping a lot of people create marketable ideas through his www.eilham.com.
