Data Backbone makes Navision SAP Integration for Danisco
Danisco now uses Data Backbone Attain/Financials to integrate their Navision Financials based Sales points Globally with their Central SAP R3.
Danisco (World's largest producers of food ingredients) Product in use: Data Backbone for Navision Financials/Attain Danisco is one of the world's largest producers of food ingredients. The company develops and produces food ingredients, feed ingredients, sweeteners and sugar. For further information see also www.danisco.com. With 8000 employees (May 2002) and International represented in 38 countries Danisco is faced with the challenge to exchange information every day with offices around the world in a secure and flexible manner. To provide this solution Danisco has chosen to use the product Data Backbone for Navision Financials, which integrates a central SAP installation with decentralized Navision installations in a secure and flexible manner. Data Backbone ensures a central management of all data transfers, and ensures via transaction control and a queuing-system, that data always is transferred correctly between SAP and Navision. The solution includes interface directly to Navision Financials/Attain and via XML and MQSeries to SAP Business Connector The Solution can be used with existing Navision versions and Navision can therefore be upgraded independently in each country. The data involved in the first phase are: Customers: The customer integration involves that new or changed customers are send to the Navision Attain/Financials where they are needed. I.e. all customer information is maintained in SAP and is automatically distributed to Navision. Product: Products are maintained in SAP and automatically send to the Navision Attain/Financials database Orders: The Orders are created and processed in the central SAP production system and are automatically sent to Navision. Updates to the order (for example Delivery dates) are also automatically sent to Navision and will merge the updated information into Navision.
