The BC TechDays 2024 Call for Speakers will open 5 December 2023.
Audience
The conference hosts a mix of audience including Dynamics 365 Business Central/NAV developers (both working for Dynamics partners as for customers), company owners, consultants as project and product managers. The majority of the attendees are technical oriented and have development skills. Last year, we welcomed over 1070 participants coming from 45 countries.
Workshops
On 11 & 12 June, full day workshops are organized in the conference hotel (Van der Valk hotel Antwerpen). We have space for ca. 10 workshops per day (capacity of the rooms varying from 10 to max. 25 seats). As a workshop teacher, you'll receive a training fee.
Workshops are full-day training sessions (9:00h - 17:00h, one hour lunch, breaks). You can host a one-day workshop and repeat that the 2nd day, you could host a workshop that spans two days, or you an host two different one-day workshops. The choice is yours.
We will use the WiFi-network of the hotel. Each participant uses their own laptop. We don't provide virtual machines but you can. Prior to your workshop, you can send out a mail to your participants with any prerequisites or instructions so they can show up fully prepared.
Sessions
On 13 & 14 June, the actual conference takes place. BC TechDays is hosted in a movie theatre, guaranteeing optimal viewing, listening and seating conditions. With session lengths of 90 minutes, there is plenty of time for in-depth tracks, sustained with live demos and coding.
All sessions will be recorded and made available for download on mibuso.com and YouTube after the event.
What our attendees like
✅ Technical solutions and real-world use cases
✅ Something useful and new (code, patterns, approaches)
✅ They love live coding!
✅ Entertain us and make us laugh
Content
No slide-only sessions please. Most of our participants are developers, so code is what they want to see on the screen. Don't be afraid to dive deep into the system. Our attendees can handle it.
Look at the archive section of our conference website, to see what was covered before.
While the conference is renowned for its deeply technical content, bear in mind that in every healthy technical community, some will be fairly new to it, some will have just a few years of experience, and some will have been in the trenches for a long time, maybe since the beginning. Do not expect the audience to know everything, but to be as curious as you are and, in some areas, even more knowledgeable than you.
Only non-commercial, technical sessions are allowed. Please refrain from any marketing content. Conference language is English.
Suggestions for getting accepted
We suggest that you submit more than one proposal. Make sure your title and description clearly defines what attendees will learn in your session. Use your own voice and express yourself to us personally. We give precedence to content that hasn't been shown before at other conferences.
Travel & Expenses
Full conference passes will be provided for all selected speakers. Any travel costs including airfare, hotel, etc. will be the responsibility of the speaker.
Speaker Buddy System
This is an approach for conference speakers and organizers, to help each other out when technical issues arise, or when you need a friend who has your back. More info here.
When you are selected as speaker
As a speaker at BC TechDays, you are the heart and soul of this conference. You'll have access to the speakers loft to prepare your session in peace. You will be invited to attend the speakers' dinner on Wednesday evening. We ask that you help us to promote the event using the hashtag #BCTechDays during the run up to the event. Please mention this conference in your blog and LinkedIn articles.
