Introducing Sana Commerce 8.2: the future of integrated e-Commerce

We are proud to introduce Sana Commerce 8.2 – the latest version of our integrated e-Commerce platform for Microsoft Dynamics® NAV and AX which can be live in 7 days. Customer and partner feedback, as well as continuous product development, have led to a comprehensive new release of our e-Commerce solution to serve your online buyers even better. The new release includes many new features and big improvements on our mobile field sales app – which will now become available in the app stores of Android, Windows Phone and iOS.

The key features of Sana Commerce 8.2 include: Support NAV 2013 Customer assortment Extension point for shipping providers Address templates Productivity views Fully customizable sales agent app Dynamics NAV 2013 Sana Commerce 8.2 supports Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2013, the latest NAV version which has recently been released. In addition, we will renew our certification for Dynamics NAV 2013 to prolong our CfMD status to comply with the latest and newest version of NAV. Customer Assortment Having the ability to show your customers only their own subset of products within the web store’s catalogue was definitely the ‘most wanted’ new feature, according to our users and prospects. This new feature follows filters which are managed in NAV or AX. This way, the web shop automatically shows only those items and products that have been approved for this particular customer. The filter can ‘allow’ or ‘deny’ items within a larger catalogue, with as a result a filtered list, or the complete catalogue in which the customer assortment is visible as marked items. Customer Assortment is the perfect addition to the already existing filtering options in Sana, like the Sana Shop Filter (multi-store) and Sana Product Sets (store navigation and order lists). Shipping Provider Like the Sana Payment Gateway, the Shipping Provider is an extension point which allows you to connect shipping providers or services effortlessly, starting with support for FedEx. On demand, other logistic services providers can be added easily from this point as well. Shipping services can be selected based on order value (already available) and order weight (new) relying fully on the business logic in NAV or AX. Mobile The Sana Mobile Sales Assistant – the perfect field sales app – is now available for the three leading mobile operating systems Android, Windows Phone and iOS. The essence of the app is still the same: combining real-time business logic of Dynamics NAV or AX with content management in Sana. Furthermore, the new app can be customized through the Sana SDK, making it easy for our partners to change the app to specific customer requirements (which is a feature that was already available for your web shop). Plus, this latest version of the Sana app supports usage on both tablets and smart phones. Unit of Measure Sana follows Dynamics when Unit of Measure is used with the ordering definition. Orders can be placed per unit, and enrichment (labels for each unit of measure) can be defined in Sana using our front-end content manager for easy content management. Productivity Views For merchants, Sana brings a new feature which will be extended with every release from now on: Productivity Views. These views support shop owners to easily improve shop management by providing back grounds on business rule-based publishing of data. The first view delivered is the assortment overview, showing all variables which in the end define if a product is available in the web shop, or not, in a clear overview. Address templates Starting with a US specific address format, Sana now supports the design of address templates – definition of fields to be used in address forms. These templates can easily be defined in the Sana SDK so that users or merchants can make a selection of available templates. Data validation rules For technical users: data validation is from now on manageable in Sana Commerce 8.2. Validation rules which define if a product is orderable or a customer is allowed to order are made configurable. Customization is no longer required to change the default behavior. This is a huge improvement and will accelerate implementation: it makes the Sana footprint in Microsoft Dynamics even smaller. The Release Candidate of Sana Commerce 8.2 will be shown at Directions 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona from 27-30 October. The official release of Sana Commerce 8.2 will be in week 51, 2012.
